Lizard Island is able to cater to any special dietary requirements, however due to the resort's location if you could provide as much notice as possible to ensure your needs are met.
Salt Water Restaurant: Simple and relaxed, Salt Water Restaurant is the idyllic setting to take full advantage of the views along the seascape. With an emphasis on fresh seafood and superb local produce, the daily changing menus draw on the flavours of modern Australian cuisine, combining a mulicultural mix of Australian, Mediterranean and Asian flavours.
Breakfast is available from 7 to 10:30am, lunch from 12 to 2:30pm and dinner from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.
Driftwood Bar & Wine Cellar: The resort's relaxed lounge, open all day, offers comfortable sofas and an inviting bar area. Enjoy tropical juices, coffee and tea, Australian and imported beers. The extensive wine list features Australian and New Zealand wines or you may select your favourite spirits, liqueurs and cocktails. A Cellar Masters list is also available if you wish to purchase a special wine for the occasion.

How to get there: Lizard Island Resort is a secluded Great Barrier Reef island resort located 240km north of Cairns and 27km off the coast of North Queensland.
Cairns Airport is accessible from all major Australian airports.
Scheduled flights to Lizard Island with East Air are as follows:
Depart Cairns at 11am or 2pm
Depart Lizard Island at 12:25pm or 3:25pm
Flight duration between Cairns and Lizard Island is 60 minutes
The East Air Aviation Terminal, Hangar 8, Tom McDonald Drive, is situated 5 minutes from the Cairns Airport Domestic and International Terminals. The terminal offers free parking and excess baggage storage. Complimentary shared vehicle transfers are included between Cairns Airport and the Hinterland Aviation Terminal for all resort guests.
Please allow 1.5hrs between Domestic Flights, 2.5 hours between International Flights and Lizard Island Flights.
The luggage restriction is 25kg per person including one small carry-on piece of hand luggage not exceeding 4kg
We will need your flight arrival and departure details and the names of all people travelling in your party.
Lizard Island does not have a strict dress code but we would suggest relaxed, casual wear during the day and perhaps something a little more special for dinner. For ladies, relaxed evening wear and for men, collared shirts and long trousers and/or tailored shorts.
Lizard Island is a Tropical climate, average year round temperature of 27°C (81°F).
- There is no mobile phone coverage on Lizard Island.
- Stays prior to April, 2020 incur environmental management charge of $6.50/day to a max $19.50/per/stay paid directly to the island.
- Stays after April, 2020 incur environmental management charge of $7day to a max $21/person/stay paid directly to the island.
- Additional charges apply for Cocktails, the Cellar Master list and Degustation menus.
- Children under 10 years are not catered for except for Family time dates
