Rainforest Retreats

Silky Oaks Lodge
Experience the soothing sights and sounds of the rainforest in absolute luxury at Silky Oaks Lodge. Offering complete privacy within a stunning location, Silky Oaks is an oasis of elegance. Accommodation comprises of River, Treehouses and Billabong Suites each featuring wide verandahs, spa baths, designer interiors and rainforest views. The Treehouse Restaurant is one of Northern Queensland's premier dining experiences and the open-sided restaurant offers sensational daintree rainforest and Mossman river views. The menu showcases the freshest local produce and fine Australian wines. Nature activities include walks through the grounds and adjoining rainforest, canoeing on Mossman River, swimming and snorkelling in the Mossman River, bicycles, tennis, yoga or simply lounging by the resort pool. The treatments at the award winning Healing Waters Spa have evolved from nature to nurture the mind, body and spirit. To preserve the tranquil surrounds and nature of the property children under 12 years are not catered for.

 

Thala Beach Lodge
Thala Beach Lodge is a Port Douglas eco resort offering accommodation on a private headland just south of Port Douglas. The hotel offers deluxe timber bungalows that have been built high on stilts and sensitively positioned amongst the resort's 145 acre property. Time spent relaxing on the timber-decked verandahs is always well rewarded by sightings of birds, butterflies, possums and sugar gliders. If you prefer to be centrally located within a stones throw of all the action of Macrossan Street, then we have a number of boutique properties situated on or nearby offering peace and tranquility in tropical surrounds. Le Cher Du Monde and Martinique on Macrossan are both situated on Macrossan Street featuring boutique one bedroom self contained apartments and a central heated pool within tropical grounds. The Meridien Port Douglas and Shantara Resort are located on Davidson Street, featuring luxury boutique apartments situated around a central lagoon pool and spa. If you're after some further pampering then take a look at The Peninsula Boutique Hotel. This unique accommodation combines both hotel services with the benefits of self catering apartments, and is the only boutique hotel located beachside. Services include a full buffet breakfast daily, Free WiFi access, Restauarnt & Bar, return airport transfers (for stays of 3 nights or more), bathrobes, aromtherapy candles & oils, complimentary guest library and plenty more!

The Pink Flamingo is a bright and unique property that is the ideal place for couples and people looking for something different. Aquarius Sail & Snorkel

Enjoy a unique and personalised sailing and reef experience onboard Aquarius. Carrying a maximum of 23 guests, this dedicated snorkel only sailing vessel cruises from Port Douglas to the Low Isles daily. Guests can enjoy swimming and snorkelling amongst spectacular marine life including green turtles, parrotfish and fusiliers in the tranquil waters of the Low Isles lagoon. Your day includes morning and afternoon tea, Plunger coffee and tropical fruit, plus a tropical buffet lunch including local prawns. All snorkel equipment is supplied. Also included is a guided snorkel and glass bottom boat tour.

Daintree Discovery Tours

Be a part of a small group of 8 maximum involving adventure, no crowds, experienced interpretive guides and a luxury Mercedes Vito Van. This tour really gives you a personalised experience of the region. Your tour guide Grant treats each day as if he were taking out a group of friends. Flames of the Forest

Flames of the Forest is a dining experience like no other. Dine beneath the ancient rainforest trees and experience the sights and sounds of the rainforest at night, with the atmosphere only enhanced through the use of thousands of candles and flames. Choose from two different evenings to suit your tastes and your budget -  Tuesdays and Thursdays feature two local indigenous brothers sharing some of their remarkable culture with you during an evening of cultural performance and Aboriginal story telling. Saturday nights are reserved for couples, providing a perfect backdrop to an intimate, romantic dining experience. Feast on a tropical tasting menu accommpanied by premium Australian wines.

ATV Quad Bikes

There is a big kid in all of us just wanting to get out! Now is the chance with a half day Jungle Rumble ATV Quad Bike Adventure. Ride around the old logging Rainforest tracks at Daintree Station, with exciting water crossings, open plains, and hill climbs. The cattle station's fleet of muster quad bikes are easy to ride with zippy Honda 250cc and 90cc bikes, suitable for all experience levels. Be warned though, it can get a tad muddy if you have really serious fun!
