Tour highlights:
Hot Air Ballooning: Experience the beauty of the Atherton Tableland by hot air balloon. Arrive at the launch site for your 30 minute balloon flight in time to see the massive balloons take shape then float gently above the trees and the wide open spaces with glorious 360° views as you drift above the Tablelands below. Keep an eye out for kangaroos, there are binoculars on board to capture sightings of local birdlife.
Kuranda Scenic Railway: Board this historic train at Freshwater Station enroute to Kuranda passing through 15 hand hewn tunnels before stopping at Barron Falls Station for photo opportunities.
Skyrail Cableway: Back in the air again but this time skim across the rainforest canopy, alighting at Barron Falls and Red Peak Stations with time to explore the rainforest and visit the Interpretive Centre.
Tour Itinerary:
4-5.00am (approx) - Pick-up at your accommodation by a Hot Air coach. There's a one hour transfer via Kuranda Range to Mareeba in the Cairns Highlands. Pickup times are confirmed on booking.
6:30am - Experience the fun of a hot air balloon ride over the Atherton Tablelands. Enjoy the picturesque landscape at sunrise. Breathe in the wide-open spaces!
7:50am - Return & landing, balloon pack-up games & lots of laughs.
9:45am - Your Hot Air Balloon tour driver will drop you off to the Freshwater Connections Train Station where you will be met by a Reef & Rainforest Coaches Representative.
You will then board the 9.45am Kuranda Scenic Railway to Kuranda.
11:00am - Arrive in Kuranda, the village in the rainforest, for free time to go shopping and sightseeing. Kuranda Markets are daily.
1:45pm - Board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway with time for 2 stops at Barron Falls and Red Peak Station on your way down from Kuranda to explore the rainforest.
3:30pm - Arrive at Skyrail Caravonica Station for our bus return to your accommodation.
