The Aussie Heritage Tour will take you on a day of discovery as you explore the Daintree area.

Start your day with a journey to the beautiful Daintree River and enjoy a scenic river cruise onboard Electric Boat Cruises.

The Electric Boat is known as the quietest boat on the Daintree River. This very personalised river cruise takes a maximum of 12 people. Whilst gliding on the Daintree River you not only see the rainforest, you hear it as well.

Being a small group tour this is also an advantage for the keen wildlife enthusiast. View the amazing birdlife, glimpse a crocodile and let the tour guide give you an informative history on this amazing tropical paradise.

Following the river cruise and morning tea, you will transfer to the upper Daintree Valley for a scenic tour of the Daintree and an informative guided rainforest walk to the spectacular Niau Falls.

Situated on a family owned 450 acre private property, you will learn about this fascinating natural wonder. The walk is on formed tracks, remnants from the Niau family, and is extremely easy. Access is limited so be assured there will be no busloads of tourists, no crowds, just untouched and unspoilt nature.

You will then journey onto the Daintree Mangroves Wildlife Sanctuary for a delicious lunch followed by time to explore the wildlife sanctuary at your leisure.

Daintree Mangroves Wildlife Sanctuary is the home of the rare and beautiful Golden Possum, beautiful Golden Shouldered Parrots, Cassowary and 130 other species of Australian native mammals, birds and reptiles. They offer the only privately run captive breeding program of the endangered Northern Quoll. Capture magic moments on your camera and enjoy 'hands on' feeding and holding of wildlife.

Overnight Option:
Spend the night in spacious air-conditioned accommodation at Daintree Mangroves and experience living in a wildlife sanctuary, surrounded by Australia's native and endangered wildlife.

Staying overnight at the sanctuary has some distinct advantages as it presents magnificent photographic opportunities; wake to a morning chorus as the wildlife awakens and experience breakfast with the birds, mammals and reptiles.  Tropical breakfast included.
