Adventure North Tours will take you through the rugged terrain of the famous Bloomfield Track from Cape Tribulation enroute to Cooktown -one of Australia's most significant townships.

You will be collected from your accommodation by Adventure North’s air-conditioned four-wheel drive vehicle for a drive north along one of the most renowned scenic coastal roads in Australia, towards the World Heritage Listed Cape Tribulation and Daintree National Parks.

After crossing the mighty Daintree River by cable ferry, your guide will take you on a spectacular drive over rainforest-clad mountains through the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park, Cape Tribulation. You will travel through the heart of this World Heritage Listed area which offers amazing views of the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea.

Your experienced guide will enlighten your journey with incredible stories and history as you continue on the 4WD only Bloomfield Track.  This 32km track will take you through some of the most spectacular scenery in Australia, crossing rivers and climbing mountain ranges. Lunch is at the famous Lion’s Den Hotel (est. 1875), North Queensland’s oldest running bush pub.

Following on from the Lions Den you will continue your journey via a unique geological oddity, which is Black Mountain, surrounded in mystery and spoken of in ancient Aboriginal legend.

The tour finally arrives into Cooktown where you will have an amazing 360 degree view from Grassy Hill. Vistas of the Coral Sea, the Endeavour River and Cooktown. Have your camera ready! Enjoy free time to explore Cooktown.

At your scheduled time board the bus for your return adventure via the Mulligan Highway, an inland road which travels through a diverse landscape of cattle stations and the Palmer River Goldfields where one of Australia's richest gold fields was discovered in 1872.  The outback of Far North Queensland offers amazing scenery.
