This full day tour departs from Cairns and Port Douglas, and travels to the Daintree Village, Mossman Gorge and Hartleys Crocodile Park.
On collection from your accommodation by Tropical Horizons, you will journey north through sugar cane fields flanked by rainforest clad mountains to the Daintree.
Enjoy morning tea before relaxing on a one-hour cruise on the mighty Daintree River. With the assistance of an experienced river guide you will see the special wildlife of the Daintree River, the domain of the estuarine crocodile and also living amongst the mangrove and rainforest lined river banks are tree snakes, pythons, a large variety of land and waterbirds and butterflies, so be sure to have your camera ready.
A visit to historic Daintree Village reveals the amazing wood crafts of the Daintree Timber Museum. Enjoy a first-class luncheon of Barramundi*, garden salads and a tropical fruit tasting, accompanied with fresh juice, tea/coffee in the tropical surrounds of Daintree Tea House. (*alternative menu available)
Experience the beauty of the ancient rainforest on an easy, guided walk with a naturalist guide through the ancient World Heritage listed rainforest of Mossman River Gorge, or if preferred, relax under the shade of the rainforest.
If Daintree River crocodile sightings were elusive 'Hartley's Crocodile Attack Show' - Australia's best Crocodile Show will entertain you with an exciting educational presentation of these prehistoric reptiles!
Following afternoon tea relax on a specially safety-designed cruise vessel which will guarantee several close-up viewings of large estuarine crocodiles on Hartley's Wetland Lagoon Cruise where numerous sightings of various waterbirds and turtles can also be viewed in the late afternoon.
Your guide will return you to your accommodation concluding a day of remarkable tropical experiences!
