We are pleased to advise that Down Under Tours is fully operational as of 6am this morning. We managed to come through completely unscathed on all fronts, with no damage to our Depot or vehicles and the threat of the storm surge did not happen, so therefore our Office is fully operational in all aspects. Our thoughts & prayers do go out to all of our fellow Tourism operators and everyone in general in the Mission Beach & Tully regions.
We are still in the process of contacting all of our industry partners to see how they fared and when they will be operational again, so will send out an update later today in regards to our day touring program. Quicksilver Connections is fully operational as of tomorrow & Great Adventures Green Island Experience (not Norman Reef) will also be operational from tomorrow. Rainforestation has also advised they are fully operational again. At this stage Cape Tribulation will not be operational for at least 5 days, however we are hopeful of having Kuranda products with Skyrail inclusions only operational by tomorrow or Sunday. We will provide more information in our next update later today.
With the Cairns Airport also open as of this morning, our Group Charter is as per normal. We are currently sourcing information on road closures in the region, and will provide further information in our next update.
Thank you to everyone for your thoughts & prayers, and we appreciate your patience as we get our beautiful destination back on track. The most important thing for us going forward is your business. Now, like never before, we need it, so please don't write us off. Our region will be fully operational in no time.
