Reef & Rainforest Connections offers 2 exciting days exploring the rainforests of Far North Queensland. Experience Kuranda the 'Village in the Rainforest' followed by an increadible journey where the ancient rainforests meet the reef.

Day One:

Enjoy a leisurely start to the day before boarding your coach, which will transfer you from your accommodation to the delightful Freshwater Station to board the famous Kuranda Scenic Rail.

Upon arrival in Kuranda, the day is yours to experience the charm and colour of the village, including the many stalls and shops, giving you the opportunity to sample and experience much of the local art and handicraft.

At your scheduled time, your return to Cairns is aboard the “award winning” Skyrail, providing a unique insight into the rainforest canopy and spectacular views of the Coral Sea.

Your rainforest experience ends at Caravonica Lakes where your coach is waiting to transfer you back to your accommodation.

Returns:  Port Douglas 4:30pm

Day Two:

Journey through some of the oldest rainforest in the world. This great value tour has many inclusions as follows...

Daintree River Cruise: Reach an understanding of this wildlife environment for one hour, habitat of birds, tree snakes, unique plants and of course the elusive estuarine crocodile. Morning tea included.

Daintree Discovery Centre: Experience this world-class rainforest interpretive centre including the new Aerial Walkway and climb the unique Rainforest Tower, giving you access to the rainforest canopy and magnificent views.

Tropical Lunch: With special access at a private rainforest lodge, enjoy a short walk along a delightful rainforest creek before a delicious tropical lunch. Choice of quality steak, fish or vegetarian meal with fresh salads and fruit platter, followed by coffee or Daintree Tea.

Cape Tribulation: Walk on this world-renowned rainforest beach and admire the coastline and fringing coral reef from the Kulki Lookout.

Daintree Ice Cream Company: A special visit to purchase a 'wicked' afternoon tea of unique home-made tropical fruit ice-cream or a refreshing tropical fruit drink.

Alexandra Range Lookout: After winding through the rainforest of the Alexandra Range, enjoy this spectacular lookout over the Daintree River estuary, Snapper Island and beyond to the Coral Sea.

Daintree Ferry: Cross the mighty Daintree River by cable ferry - one of the last of it's kind!

Mossman Gorge: Discover the rainforest in this beautiful part of the Daintree National Park with a guided walk in winter and/or swim in crystal clear water of the Mossman River during the summer (subject to river level).
