Enjoy an unforgettable day to Kuranda commencing with 'Breakfast with the Birds' at the Rainforest Habitat.
Rainforest Habitat is Australia's leading environmental wildlife park, and boasting over 1600 animals, contains the largest collection in immersion exhibits. The sanctuary provides visitors with a chance to observe up close a huge range of flora and fauna, an experience found nowhere else.
Greeted with champagne and orange juice, you will be treated to one of Queensland's best tropical breakfast buffets. Breakfast with the Birds includes fresh tropical and exotic fruit platters, cereals and freshly baked pastries. While the BBQ Chef prepares fresh eggs cooked to your liking, you can choose from a selection of hot buffet items.
Experience the symphony of sounds and colours of wildlife as they wander freely amongst the tables.
After breakfast enjoy a one-hour guided tour to see hundreds of species of birds and a diverse range of Australian Native animals.
Following this you will journey to the Skyrail terminal for your scheduled departure on the rainforest cableway to Kuranda. Experience superb views of the Coral Sea as you glide over the rainforest canopy . Along the way you will have time to journey into the rainforest at Red Peak Station and Barron Falls lookout.
Once in Kuranda you will have two and a half hours of free time to explore and enjoy the diverse attractions of Kuranda. Free village map included.
Travel the historic Kuranda Railway on your homeward bound journey. Since June 1891 this famous railway has offered passengers a very special journey between Kuranda and Freshwater Station. It passes through 15 hand hewn tunnels and over many bridges, crossing waterfalls and ravines as it traverses the very edge of the Barron River Gorge.
Tour highlights:
To get the most from your Kuranda experience we would recommend travelling one-way on Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and one-way on the Kuranda Scenic Rail.
