Wonga Beach Horse Rides will take you on a ride through grassy headlands along side beautiful creeks, through pristine Daintree Rainforest and along beautiful Wonga Beach. Walk, trot or canter your horses along the beach or into the surf.
What makes it great?
Situated at pristine Wonga Beach near Port Douglas, this award winning beach and rainforest horse riding adventure has an enviable reputation for quality and excellence.
Wonga Beach horse riding tours are suitable for the first timer to the very experienced rider of all ages. You will receive full riding instructions in natural horsemanship.
Quality breeds of horses including Australian stock horses, Quarter horses and appaloosas, are well trained and cared for, which suit all ages and levels of horse riding experience.
You will ride along a scenic grassy headland, onto beautiful Wonga beach where you can walk, trot or canter your horse along the beach and into the water (weather permitting), in groups of riders with similar riding experience, then regrouping to finishing the ride as you meander through magnificent Daintree rainforest and a tropical fruit orchard.
This rainforest and beach horse riding tour takes approximately 2and 3/4hours on horseback.

Morning Rides
Depart – 8.30am Return – 11.30am (approx.)
Port Douglas Pick-ups commence 7.50am, return 12pm (approx.)
Afternoon rides
Depart – 1:45pm Return - 6pm (approx.)
Port Douglas Pick-ups commence 2.05pm, return 6.30pm (approx.)
This tour is suitable for all ages, in most cases there are no more than 6 people in any one group, and a maximum of 16 people for any one riding session.

- Not suitable for children under 7yrs
- Maximum weight 107kg
- Visa, master card, and bankcard accepted only; no eftpos facilities
- Complimentry pickups from Port Douglas and Daintree areas only. Transfers from Cairns can be arranged at an additional cost.
