After a short safety briefing, passengers will leave from a nearby helipad in Port Douglas, for a 20 minute scenic flight over Mossman Gorge before arriving at Silky Oaks Lodge.

Mossman Gorge is a ruggedly spectacular section of the Daintree National Park. From the ground it rises as a dense rainforest gorge in the coastal mountain range, but a helicopter ride gives you a far greater perspective.

It is an awesome landscape of towering sheer rock faces and plummeting waterfalls. The rainforest stretches out across the range as far as the eye can see, with a colourful patchwork of sugar cane paddocks, ploughed land and townships along the coastal plain, with the Coral Sea out to the east.

From scenic flight to scenic lunch, you then have the opportunity to experience the rainforest from below in the beautiful surroundings of Silky Oaks Lodge & Healing Waters Spa.

On landing at a turf farm nearby, the Silky Oaks staff will transfer you to the resort where you can really relax for four hours, and enjoy a two-course lunch with a bottle of selected wine.

After a sumptuous lunch the resort grounds are yours to enjoy as you wish, until the 2:30pm limousine return to Port Douglas.

The secluded lodge has a range of walking tracks to explore, or visitors can make use of the canoes to explore the riverbank. The beautiful clear river alongside the lodge is safe for swimming, or you can laze around the resort's landscaped swimming lagoons.

The resort has a stylish guest's lounge room available for use, or you can sit quietly in the Jungle Perch amid the treetops and just soak up the natural ambience of the forest and sound of the healing waters below.

For an additional cost you can really unwind with a body treatment at the Healing Waters Spa. Internationally rated as one of the top spas for its unique setting and cultural experience, the treatments are based on the Li'Tya range of products and draw on the knowledge of the Aboriginal people to nurture and heal. There is a wide range of treatments from a 30-minute Kebi Yirri facial, to personally tailored massages or the Healing Waters signature treatments to detoxify and revitalise.

This package includes a 20 minute scenic flight over Mossman Gorge and a sumptuous two-course lunch with a bottle of wine at the premier Treetops Restaurant overlooking the Mossman River.
