Treat yourself to the original Lunch with the Lorikeets at Port Douglas' Wildlife Habitat.

Enjoy a delicious hot and cold lunch buffet in the Wetlands restaurant where you can interact with water birds, curlews, lorikeets, cockatoos and a host of other bird life.

Lunch with the Lorikeets includes tasty homemade soups with freshly baked breads, BBQ steak, sausages & pasta, smokey BBQ chicken, an assortment of delicious fresh salads, tropical fruits, and local herbal teas and coffee.

The restaurant is fully licensed, and stocks a vast collection of locally brewed beer, a selection of Australian wines, and fruit juices.

Lunch with the Lorikeets also includes admission & free guided tours of the three immersion environments.

Opening Hours:
The Wildlife Habitat is open daily, and Lunch with the Lorikeets is available from 12.00pm – 2.00pm every day.

Guided Tours
Informative free guided tours occur throughout the day, providing valuable insight to behavioural characteristics of species, their interaction and their role within the Wet Tropics region. Enthusiastic tour guides are trained and experienced in each environment of the Wildlife Habitat.

Wildlife Presentations & Animal Photos
Daily animal presentations in the newly built presentation hut allow guests to see and touch animals up close. These presentations provide a learning experience about Pythons, Koalas and Crocodiles. For a close encounter, you can have the opportunity to purchase a souvenir photo holding these captivating creatures.

Port Douglas Wildlife Experience: (Departures Tues, Thurs, Sat & Sun)

  Enjoy a relaxing afternoon visit to Port Douglas, an international celebrity hotspot and popular film location. Journey via the Captain Cook Highway, one of Australia’s most scenic coastal drives.

• Behind the Scenes Wildlife Tour A wildlife keeper will guide you through the Wildlife Care Centre and food preparation areas, explaining their duties and giving insight into the development stages of different species, and how they care for the sick, injured or orphaned animals. The tour concludes at the Lumholtz' Tree Kangaroo Breeding Centre.
• Port Douglas Village – Head into the township of Port Douglas for free time at your own leisure. You can wander the many boutique shops along Macrossan Street, stop for a few drinks at the Courthouse Hotel or Iron Bar, and relax or stroll along beautiful Four Mile Beach. Time for more shopping or enjoying a snack or a few drinks at your pick-up point Marina Mirage, as the sun sets on your perfect day before returning to Cairns.
