SKYRAIL TO KURANDA JOURNEY INTO THE RAINFOREST KURANDA MARKETS ATV ACTION! REAL BUSH TRAILS RAINFOREST HORSERIDE AUSSIE BUSH KURANDA SCENIC RAIL

The Blazing Saddles Kuranda Combo gives you the option to choose from Horseriding or ATV incorporating this with the Kuranda Train/Skyrail, plus some free time to explore Kuranda Village.

The day starts with a coach pick up from your accommodation (Skyrail Coach from Port Douglas), and a transfer to the Skyrail Terminal where you will take the famous Skyrail Cableway to Kuranda.

Skyrail gives you the opportunity to be dropped into the middle of world heritage tropical rainforest and experience the forest from the safety and comfort of boardwalks surrounded by an amazing diversity of plants, animals and birdlife. 

You will be carried over the 7.5km of pristine rainforest in gondola cabins just a few metres above the rainforest canopy. The first stop is Barron Falls station where you will witness breath-taking views of the Barron River, Gorge and Falls.

The next stop is Red Peak Station where you will experience the forest floor from the safety and comfort of a 175m boardwalk.

The 1.5hr journey finishes in Kuranda Village where there is plenty to see and do. You will have some free time to explore the art and craft shops, and the Heritage Markets which are open 7 days a week.

At your scheduled time you will transfer to Blazing Saddles. Enjoy a 1 hour ATV or Horseride that takes you through rainforest as well as Aussie Bush with mountain outlooks. On the bush trails you will encounter many native birds and Brahmin cattle.

A BBQ hamburger lunch is included before you return back to Kuranda Village to board the 3:30pm Kuranda train to Freshwater Station. It is an interesting heritage journey as you wind your way through hand built tunnels and over the many bridges. An interesting onboard commentary informs you of the history of the railway and the amazing task it undertook to build it.

Disembarking at Freshwater Station you will be transferred to your accommodation in Cairns/Port Douglas.

Itinerary:
8:00am - pick up from accommodation.
(Port Douglas collection via Skyrail bus)
9:30am - Skyrail to Kuranda
11:45am - Pick up at Butterfly Sanctuary, transfer to Blazing Saddles
1 Hour - ATV or Horseride experience
2:15pm - BBQ hamburger lunch
3:30pm - Kuranda Train departure
5pm - arrive at Freshwater Station
5:30pm - return to Cairns accommodation
