The Mossman River begins as a small highland stream 1300 metres above sea level. On its 30 kilometre journey to the tropical coast it accumulates water from the 240-year-old rainforest. The pure, clean water is filtered by timeless rainforest giants, and on its way collects pristine water from similar creeks and streams.
Allow the gentle waters to guide you through the rainforest on this unique half-day journey. Experience the magic of the rainforest from above and below the water. Picture the most beautiful clear river and then see yourself drift snorkelling down with the current. Safe, fun and very relaxing.
Operating only 15 mins from Port Douglas, this tour gives informative local history, flora and fauna information as well as the chance to float effortlessly through an ancient rainforest river.
Wetsuits and snorkelling gear are provided and you will be guided along the river.
Back Country Bliss Outdoor Education Instructors have a combination of over 10 years of experience in leading groups in remote areas of Australia. Their exceptional safety standards, combined with a high level of enjoyment, mean that guests will have a great experience every time within the natural environment.
