Day One: Outer Reef Trip

Calypso caters for non-swimmers, first time snorkellers, introductory divers and dive enthusiasts. Visiting three breathtaking sites daily from Port Douglas, Calypso will provide you with an experience of a lifetime. Learn about the marine life and eco-systems through our reef interpretive chat on board or take part in a guided snorkelling tour and surround yourself by the rainbow of brilliantly coloured fish and coral.

Crew will assist any nervous swimmers, non-swimmers and swimmers who have never snorkelled before, to ensure that they are happy and comfortable in the water. Flotation devices and in water assistance are also provided.

The snorkel groups are small and personalised. The crew will take you on an informative guided snorkeling tour and explain, as well as, answer questions about the Great Barrier Reef and it's many inhabitants.

Day Two: Kuranda Train & Skyrail
Skyrail is the World’s Most Beautiful Rainforest Experience…

The Skyrail experience, spanning 7.5kms over pristine rainforest, allows you to explore the wonders of an ancient tropical rainforest and learn about one of the most botanically fascinating and diverse areas on earth.

Gliding just metres above the rainforest canopy in comfortable six-person gondola cabins, the Skyrail journey immerses you in an intimate rainforest experience where you’ll see, hear, smell and become part of the tropical rainforest environment.

At Skyrail’s two rainforest mid-stations, Red Peak and Barron Falls, you will have time to explore this amazing environment from the forest floor on boardwalks, scenic look-outs and in the state-of-the-art Rainforest Interpretation Centre.

Skyrail’s Kuranda Terminal is located a short walk from the famous village of Kuranda where you’ll be able to enjoy the local attractions and shopping.

At your scheduled time board the Kuranda Scenic Rail and rest easy, enjoying the views of the Barron Gorge and Falls, Stoney Creek Falls and its famous curved bridge and travel through 15 hand hewn tunnels.

Day Three: Cape Trib in a Day!

Cape Tribulation In A Day gives you a day exploring the rainforest and amazing landscapes of the Cape Tribulation wilderness area.

Cross the Daintree River and continue on to the Daintree Discovery Centre for a refreshing morning tea. Here an expert guide will take you on a boardwalk whilst explaining some of the fascinating secrets of one of the world's oldest rainforests.

After the walk, guests can learn more through theatre presentations and the interactive displays, or obtain a closer look at life in the rainforest by ascending the Rainforest Canopy Tower.

Afterwards, continue onto Cape Tribulation Beach while your driver explains the rich history of the area. Walk the beach or boardwalk and relax in this tranquil setting.

Next stop is for lunch in a rainforest setting. Relax and enjoy the delicious food, and maybe a glass of wine, then return to the Daintree River, with a stop enroute to enjoy the panoramic view from Alexandra Lookout.

Re-crossing the river, join a calm water cruise of this important waterway observing the wildlife that inhabits this environment. Your guide will point out the different types of wildlife and plants that make their home along the river. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive and fearsome estuarine saltwater crocodile!

The cruise terminates in Daintree Village, where you will board your coach for the return journey to Port Douglas, stopping at beautiful Mossman Gorge enroute.
