Shantara Resort & Spa Port Douglas offers  luxury accommodation in self-contained one bedroom apartments or in studio rooms. Shantara is suited for couples that are looking to unwind in a tranquil and tropical ambience. (Cater for children over the ages of 15). 

Only a 400 metre walk to famous Four Mile Beach and to the shops and restaurants of Macrossan St, this tropical styled building features timeless classical architecture comprising of Studio Rooms and One Bedroom Apartments. Some of the rooms feature pool deck access and jacuzzi's in private courtyards and the One Bedroom Apartments feature large spa baths with seperate showers. 

The three storey building is complemented by 2 large lagoon style salt water swimming pools, one of which has a tropical island linking the foyer to the outdoor dining area where guests can entertain in the tropics with the resorts barbeque facilities. The other saltwater pool has been heated for the winter months and can be cooled for the summer months.

The Studio Rooms and Apartments have been designed to provide large living spaces with a superior standard of fittings, finishes and furnishings. All hotel studio rooms and apartments look out across the pools.

Studio Rooms: 
Comfortable rooms with either an outdoor balcony looking over the pool or swim up pontoon with direct access to the pool. The holiday kitchenette features a small fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave and crockery.

One Bedroom Apartments: 
Fitted out with a full kitchen and spacious living area with all of the latest appliances. Levels two and three have large balconies with outdoor dining. Ground floor apartments have direct access to the swimming pool from individual pontoons. 

Two Bedroom Apartments:
Two Bedroom Apartments are all dual key combining a Hotel Studio Room with a One Bedroom Apartment.

Shantara Apartments: (4 only) have a large private jacuzzi spa tub in the courtyard surrounded by gardens and off the balcony a pontoon for direct access to the resort pool.

A mid-week service is provided for bookings of 7 nights or more.  Daily service can be requested at time of check-in at an extra charge.
