Shantara Resort & Spa Port Douglas offers contemporary comfortable accommodation in self-contained one bedroom apartments or in studio rooms. Shantara is ideal for couples, honeymooners or the independent traveller looking to unwind in a tranquil and tropical ambience. Caters for children over the age of 15.



Port Douglas is the perfect tropical destination to getaway and see nature at its best, snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, explore the Rainforest or just relax and unwind.

Only a 400 metre walk to famous Four Mile Beach and to the shops and restaurants of Macrossan St.  Completed in 2007 and a soft refurbishment completed in January 2011 ensures these apartments are kept to a high standard.

One bedroom apartments on levels two and three have large balconies with outdoor dining.  Ground floor apartments feature  pool deck access from the balcony or Jacuzzi's in private courtyards.

Two Bedroom Apartments:
Two Bedroom Apartments are all dual key combining a Studio Room with a One Bedroom Apartment.

Shantara Apartments: (4 only). Located on the corner, these apartments feature the same facilities as the 1 bedroom apartments and extra’s include: private outdoor jacuzzi located in the courtyard surrounded by gardens and out from the balcony is a pool deck for direct access to the pool. Bedding is king bed.

A mid-week service is provided for bookings of 7 nights or more.  Daily service can be requested at time of check-in at an extra charge.  

Location: 
Resort located 400 metres to famous Four Mile Beach.  Stroll the palm fringed beach and swim in warm calm waters. 
Take a 400 metre stroll to Macrossan Street, that offers an array of restaurants, cafes and boutique shopping to suit all tastes.

Children are not catered for (over 15 year olds are welcome)
