Located on the corner of Port Douglas Road and Mahogany Street, the Port Douglas Sands is a four star 53 unit complex, consisting of spacious, one, two and three bedroom apartments.

Each apartment is set in beautiful tropical gardens. All apartments are fully self-contained with full kitchen and laundry facilities provided with large balconies overlooking the lagoon pool and spa area. All rooms have ceiling fans and are fully air-conditioned.

The Port Douglas Sands Resort is located opposite the Sheraton Mirage Resort on Port Douglas Road and is a short 400 metres walk to the beautiful Four Mile beach.

There are several restaurants and a small shopping centre, golf course and a country club/gymnasium within five minutes walking distance from the hotel.

A local shuttle bus stop is only 50 metres away.  This local bus service completes a circuit of Port Douglas every quarter of an hour (for a small fee), commencing at 7.30am each morning and stopping at 12am the following morning.

Alternatively, the main village area of Port Douglas is a short 1.5 kilometres or a 15-20 minute walk away.
