Each apartment is set in beautiful tropical gardens. All apartments are fully self-contained with full kitchen and laundry facilities provided with large balconies overlooking the lagoon pool and spa area. All rooms have ceiling fans and are fully air-conditioned.

The gardens are lush and tropical, featuring a variety of exotic tropical plants that surround the swimming pool, spa and barbecue area, providing an idyllic setting for lazing beside the pool or your private balcony.

The Port Douglas Sands Resort is located opposite the Sheraton Mirage Resort on Port Douglas Road and is a short 350 metres walk to the beautiful Four Mile beach.

There are several restaurants and a small shopping centre, golf course and a country club/gymnasium within five minutes walking distance from the hotel.

A local shuttle bus stop is only 50 metres away.  This local bus service completes a circuit of Port Douglas every quarter of an hour (for a small fee), commencing at 7.30am each morning and stopping at 12am the following morning.

Alternatively, the main village area of Port Douglas is a short 1.5 kilometres or a 15-20 minute walk away.
