The Escape to Port Package is a value option designed for couples who would like to experience the best of North Queensland and have some free time to enjoy Port Douglas.

This package combines a 5 night stay at Oaks Lagoons in a modern Studio Room with private Spa, plus a full day all inclusive tour to the beautiful World Heritage Listed Rainforest of Daintree and Cape Tribulation and a small group sailing trip on a very upmarket new vessel to the beautiful Low Isles.

Day One: Arrive into Cairns, check into the Lagoons @ Port

Lagoons offers brand new contemporary, boutique holiday apartments. The property features expansive decks, cabanas with barbeques, lush ferns, and soothing water features. There are 6 breathtaking lagoon pools. You can upgrade to a Swimout Studio, One Bedroom Deluxe, Swim Up or Plunge Pool Apartment at an additional cost.

Day Two: Sailaway IV - Exciting New Upgraded vessel

Sailaway IV is a luxury new Lagoon 500 high performance luxury sailing catamaran built in France. This luxury catamaran takes only 33 passengers and 3 crew thus ensuring  personal attention from the helpful and friendly crew. 

Sailaway takes an hour and a half to sail to the Low Isles, a beautiful secluded small coral cay complete with blue lagoon, white sandy beaches and coconut palms, surrounded by magnificent coral gardens and the Coral Sea. On a clear, calm day the visibility is generally that good that you will be able to see the sandy bottom 8 metres below.

Day Three: Daintree Discovery

A day with Daintree Discovery Tours is like no other. Be a part of a small group of 8 maximum, involving adventure, no crowds and experienced interpretive guides. Journey across the Daintree Cable Ferry and into World Heritage Listed Rainforest. You will be amazed at just how beautiful and awe inspiring this region is.

On arrival in Cape Trib, choose from the following optional activities:-

• Sea Kayaking around the Cape Tribulation headland, following in the steps of our early explorers, possibly spotting turtles, dugong or even a pod of dolphins. No experience is necessary for the sea kayaking, a qualified guide will go through the finer details.
• Take a guided walk along the beach learning about the history of the area.
• Simply sit and soak up the absorbing atmosphere of this tropical beach, with time to swim in non-stinger season. (June to October)

After a stop off at Cape Tribulation, travel down to Cooper Creek Wilderness for a unique opportunity to explore world heritage listed rainforest. Walk through old growth rainforest on natural trails - no boardwalks. See no other people along the way, except maybe spotting a Cassowary, or any other forest creatures that inhabit the area, you just never know...

Enjoy a sumptuous lunch under the rainforest canopy on a large ceder table, then cool off in the beautiful blue waters of the Cooper Creek. Then end the day on the mighty Daintree River on board Solar Whisper a solar powered electric boat. It makes no noise, no fuel emissions and helps to protect the environment from which it runs on.

Grant your local guide treats each day, as taking out a group of friends. Explaining to our guests how the nature of the area works, so that at the end of the day it is easy to look around and understand what is happening around you.

Please Note: The Escape to Port Package includes accommodation and tours but does not include Airport Transfers or any meals besides meals included on your tours. Options are available to upgrade to a One Bedroom Deluxe, Swim Up or Plunge Pool Apartment, please enquire for special rates. You can start this package any day of the week. A deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance for your accommodation and tours is paid directly to the operator on the day of the event.
