Day One: Arrive into Port Douglas, check into Rendezvous Reef Resort
Rendezvous Reef Resort is ideal for a fun-filled holiday for the whole family. Nestled in a lush tropical garden setting, and featuring newly refurbished townhouses, this resort offers exceptional value.

Located just 2 minutes from Port Douglas village and the famous Four Mile Beach, this newly refurbished resort comprises of a village of villas. You'll never be short of space and privacy, with each two storey villa offering an enormous 110 square metres of living space.

All Two Bedroom Deluxe Villas are re-furbished 2 storey villas with two bathrooms.  Downstairs features a lounge and dining area, kitchen, separate laundry with a shower and toilet.  Located upstairs are the air-conditioned bedrooms and bathroom and a bathroom.

The resort is set on 15 acres of lush tropical gardens offering plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the facilities which include 3 lagoon-style pools, a 25m lap pool, a children’s pool, Gym, pitch and putt golf and BBQ area.

Kids under the age of 12 years eat free when dining with a paying adult (1 child per adult).

Day Two: Cruise to the Low Isles

Low Isles offers everything you can dream of in a tropical island paradise. From the moment your luxury catamaran moors in the calm waters of the island's picturesque lagoon, a host of reef activities await you.

Situated 15km north-east of Port Douglas Low Isles is a 4 acre coral cay surrounded by 150 different species of hard corals dominated by 15 species of soft corals. Living amongst the corals is a large variety of fish, molluscs, sea cucumbers and other animals.

The Quicksilver crew will guide you through all the activities on Low Isles, from snorkelling and exploring the island's beach with an expert marine biologist, to seeing the coral gardens from a glass bottom boat. Wavedancer remains moored in the island's lagoon, and guests can take a regular shuttle from the beach to the boat.

Travelling to this part of the Great Barrier Reef is a wonderful educational opportunity for children. A qualified Marine Biologist will happily answer any questions you or your children may have about this precious marine ecosystem.

To assist children to obtain the best experience from their day at Low Isles, snorkels, masks and fins are available in child sizes. If your child has their own swimming goggles at home, bring them along. Most kids are more comfortable with goggles rather than a face mask, and love just 'flopping' around in the water with goggles and no snorkel.

There are various flotation aids available for your child’s use. These range from kick boards to full flotation vests depending on your child’s swimming abilities.

Coral viewing is so easy with a glass bottom boat tour. The coral viewing boat leaves the island regularly and cruises over the delicate soft coral gardens that surround Low Isles. A commentary is conducted to point out the corals, the many brightly coloured tropical fish and magnificent giant clams. Look for Nemo and his friendly turtles.

Returns: 4:30pm

Day Three, Four, Five, Six & Seven: Free days at your leisure.

Port Douglas is the ideal destination for your family – fun, affordable and with something for everyone. Laze away the days on the white sands of famous Four Mile Beach, stroll the Sunday markets, or stop for lunch and a cool drink at one of the cafes scattered along cosmopolitan Macrossan Street.

Day Eight: Check out of hotel, end of package.

Please Note: The Port Family Fun Package includes accommodation and tours but does not include Airport Transfers. You can start this package any day of the week and choose to take the included tours on any preferred day. 

PLEASE NOTE:  The lap-pool is on track to re-open by 31st May.  The main pool is still open.  The gymnasium will be closed to upgrade the facilities and equipment.  This has an anticipated completion date of 31st May.  

Local Shuttle Services:
Sun Palm Transport and Coral Reef Coaches operate a local shuttle bus service between the Marina Mirage and the Rainforest Habitat with scheduled stops at Rendezvous Reef Resort.

Between the two companies, buses run approximately every 15 mins between 7am and midnight every day of the week. Bus prices range from $2 - $3 depending on the distance travelling.
