The Escape to Port Package is a value option designed for people who would like to experience the best of North Queensland and have some free time to enjoy Port Douglas.

This package combines a 5 night stay at Regal Port Douglas in a Resort style hotel studio with Spa bath, plus a full day all inclusive tour to the beautiful World Heritage Listed Rainforest of Daintree and Cape Tribulation and a small group sailing trip on a very upmarket vessel to the beautiful Low Isles.

Day One: Arrive into Cairns, check into Regal Port Douglas

The Regal Port Douglas is a 4 star property located right at the start of the restaurant strip in Port Douglas, at the quieter end of Macrossan St.  Perfectly located only a short stroll to Four Mile Beach, Marina Mirage and Sunday markets.

Featuring a 3 storey cascading fountain and a resort style pool with island and spa.  There is a poolside BBQ within a tropical garden of shaded palms and lush ferns.

Day Two: Sailaway IV

Sailaway IV is a luxury new Lagoon 500 high performance luxury sailing catamaran built in France. This luxury catamaran takes only 33 passengers and 3 crew thus ensuring  personal attention from the helpful and friendly crew. 

Sailaway takes an hour and a half to sail to the Low Isles, a beautiful secluded small coral cay complete with blue lagoon, white sandy beaches and coconut palms, surrounded by magnificent coral gardens and the Coral Sea. On a clear, calm day the visibility is generally that good that you will be able to see the sandy bottom 8 metres below.

Day Three: Daintree Discovery Tour

A day with Daintree Discovery Tours is like no other.  Be a part of a small group of 8 maximum, involving adventure, no crowds and experienced interpretive guides. Journey across the Daintree Cable Ferry and into World Heritage Listed Rainforest. You will be amazed at just how beautiful and awe inspiring this region is.

Your day begins with your guide taking you to beautiful Mossman Gorge. It’s a great place to be first thing in the morning absorbing all the sights and sounds of the forest and birds.

Next stop is the Daintree River. Morning tea is included and the great Aussie Lamington while cruising along the river enjoying the riverine environment, all the while keeping an eye out for the area’s wildlife.

Drive through the Daintree Rainforest on the way to Cape Tribulation. Walk on one of the national park boardwalks to truly get an insight into the world’s oldest continual living rainforest. This is a fascinating area full of history and amazing plants and animals including one of the largest birds in the world, the Cassowary.

Then onto the beauty of Cape Tribulation, where the “Rainforest meets the Reef” for a private lunch site right next to the beach itself. It’s a great feeling being surrounded by nature, hearing the waves gently lapping the shore all the while eating a sumptuous lunch and chatting with your new friends for the day.

After lunch stop into the Daintree Ice-cream Company where you can purchase a tropical fruit ice-cream (at your own expense) on the way to the Cassowary Falls. Go for a swim, feed the fish and turtles, or just sit back and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. A great way to end the day before heading back home to Port Douglas.

Please Note: The Escape to Port Package includes accommodation and tours but does not include Airport Transfers or any meals besides meals included on your tours.  You can start this package any day of the week.
