THALA BEACH LODGE:
Thala Beach Lodge, 10 minutes South of Port Douglas is an exclusive Eco Resort that sits spectacularly atop a headland and is nestled in the rainforest with breathtaking views over the Coral Sea.
Deluxe Timber Bungalows are built high on stilts and nestle in the forest canopy providing a magical and unobtrusive relationship with the natural world. All bungalows have views either to the ocean or the forested mountains. Time spent relaxing on the timber-decked verandahs is always well rewarded by sightings of birds, butterflies, possums and sugar gliders.
The stunning main pool features waterfalls, spas and grottos for that late night romantic swim, or just to recline on the edge of the water and gaze out over the ocean. It is a free form pool flowing through the resort setting. Secluded among the gardens is the "Rock Pool" a smaller and more intimate swimming pool for guests looking for a quiet grove in which to relax.
